Is the Augusta Area the Right Place for a Jack in the Box? Here's What Developers Look For

More than a year after The Augusta Chronicle first reported that an undisclosed developer wanted to spring a Jack in the Box restaurant onto the Augusta area, an executive for the iconic fast-food chain said recently that the investor is looking for the right piece of real estate.
"We had a franchisee who came into the market and was familiar with the market, kind of grew up in the market, and said, 'Hey, I want to do Georgia,'" said Dustin Thompson, director of franchise marketing and development for the San Diego-based chain of fast-food eateries. "So we took a look at it and the rest is history."
