Hope After Helene: Community Resource Day & Family Festival Coming September 27th

On Saturday, September 27, 2025, the CSRA will unite for Hope After Helene, a free, community-wide day of support and celebration marking the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Helene.
In partnership with Convoy of Hope (https://convoyofhope.org/), local churches, nonprofits, and civic groups are coming together to provide families with practical resources, encouragement, and opportunities to connect.
Event Highlights:
● Drive-Thru Resource Distribution (8:00–11:00 AM) at four host schools:
○ Cross Creek High (3855 Old Waynesboro Rd, Augusta, GA 30906)
○ Glenn Hills Middle (2740 Fairfield Rd, Augusta, GA 30909)
○ Grovetown High (2010 Warrior Way, Grovetown, GA 30813)
○ Martinez Elementary (213 Flowing Wells Rd, Martinez, GA 30907)
● Resource Family Festival (4:00–7:00 PM) at Project Life, 1760 Gordon Hwy, Augusta, GA 30909, featuring:
○ Groceries & essential supplies
○ Hot dogs & concessions
○ Fun games & a family zone
○ Community connections area
“This event is more than a response to the storm — it’s a demonstration of unity, resilience, and the love our community shares, ” said Robert Kelly, Assistant Coordinator for Hope After Helene. “We want every family to know they are not alone in recovery, even after a year. ”
Call for Volunteers & Partners
Organizers are calling on churches, civic groups, agencies, and individuals to volunteer and serve at the event. In addition, community support organizations are encouraged to be present at the festival to connect families with ongoing resources and assistance.How to Get Involved:
