Augusta Canal Towpath Won’t Reopen Until at Least Spring 2026, Augusta Utilities Says

The towpath between the Augusta Canal’s Headgates and the Raw Water Pumping Station is expected to remain closed, at least until 2026, according to Augusta Utilities.
The towpath closed after Hurricane Helene caused severe damage in the area.
