Augusta & Co. Presents: Augusta in Focus - A Photography Exhibition Highlighting Local Talent

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Friday, October 3rd, 2025

Photography has the power to preserve memory, capture truth, and reframe the way we see the world around us. Augusta in Focus, the year-end exhibition at Augusta & Co. Gallery located at 1010 Broad St. Augusta, GA 30901, invites the community to experience Augusta’s River Region through the diverse and unique lenses of local photographers. Each work presents a fresh perspective on the city’s landscapes, culture, and community.

Managed by the Greater Augusta Arts Council, the Augusta & Co. Gallery acts as a “local artists only” space that is dedicated to exhibiting Augusta’s visual talent. As the Gallery’s closing exhibition of the year, Augusta in Focus shines a spotlight on the importance of supporting local artists. With every piece priced at $200 or less, visitors can find meaningful works of art to take home during the holiday season, while directly investing in Augusta’s thriving creative community.

The exhibition showcases the breadth and innovation of photography, featuring both analog and digital works by artists including Abigail McDonald Drescher, Carol Cross, Jessica Yu, Gabe Rawlins, Clarissa Gainey, Erin Tallent, Fox Si-Long Chen, Rakiyah Lenon, Kaelen Hetzler, Nathan Elliott, and Angela Minter.

An Artist Reception will be held on First Friday, November 7, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. Guests are invited to meet the photographers, enjoy the exhibition, and experience live music by local musician Chanita Cofer.
