Augusta Sportswear Indicates Layoffs Or Closure, According To State Filing

One of the Augusta area's oldest manufacturers appears to be closing.
Ninety-three workers are expected to be laid off in a business restructuring for the new owner of the former Augusta Sportswear in Grovetown, according to a notice submitted to the Georgia Department of Labor.
