The City of Aiken Parks, Recreation & Tourism, in partnership with United Way of Aiken County and Meta, is excited to announce the grand opening of the Born Learning Trail at the Smith-Hazel Park, located at 400 Kershaw St NE, Aiken, SC.

We invite you to join us for the official ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, October 7, at 10 a.m. This celebration will highlight the importance of early childhood learning through play and showcase the new interactive trail designed for families with young children.

The Born Learning Trail features a series of engaging signs, shapes, and colors that provide caregivers with simple activities to transform outdoor walks into meaningful learning experiences. The trail promotes exploration, imagination, and skill development—supporting children's growth for both school and life.

The Born Learning Trail at Smith-Hazel Park is made possible through the generous support of United Way of Aiken County, in partnership with the City of Aiken Parks, Recreation & Tourism, and sponsored by Meta.

Along with our Community Partners, Mayor Teddy Milner, City Leadership, and Parks, Recreation and Tourism staff will be in attendance to celebrate this milestone for the community.

The City of Aiken Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism invites people of all ability levels to enjoy programs, parks, and facilities. Individuals needing special assistance to participate should notify the PRT Administrative Office 48 hours in advance.
