The Rotary Club of Augusta will host Georgia Senate Minority Leader Harold Jones II for a legislative update during its regular meeting on Monday, October 20, at Noon at Enterprise Mill, 1450 Greene Street.

Leader Jones, a Democrat representing Georgia’s 22nd District, will provide an overview of key issues and legislation the Georgia Senate has been working on this year. The majority of the program will feature remarks from Senator Jones, who was first elected to the Senate in 2014 and represents portions of Richmond County.

A portion of the program will also include an update from Senator Blake Tillery, a Republican representing Georgia’s 19th District. Senator Tillery will share insights from his perspective and discuss current priorities under consideration in the state legislature.

This bipartisan update offers an opportunity for community members and local leaders to gain firsthand insights into recent legislative activity and its impact on the Augusta area and the state of Georgia.
