West Fraser Mill in Augusta to Permanently Close End of 2025

West Fraser is permanently closing its Augusta mill at the end of this year, impacting approximately 130 employees.
According to West Fraser, one of the world’s largest producers of timber and lumber, said in a Nov. 6 press release that the decision to close the location on 2474 Doug Barnard Parkway is the result of soft lumber markets.
