Aiken’s Hoofbeats Christmas Parade Continues to Bring Holiday Cheer While Honoring City’s Equestrian History

A unique holiday tradition trotted through downtown Aiken this weekend as hundreds of horse riders and neighbors gathered for the city’s annual Hoofbeats Christmas Parade.
The one-of-a-kind event celebrates Aiken’s deep equestrian roots, bringing together riders, horses, and spectators for a festive parade filled with sleigh bells, holiday décor, and Christmas spirit.
From the sound of hooves on pavement to jingling bells echoing through the streets, downtown came alive as around 150 horses made their way through the parade route. Riders and horses were decked out in elf hats, sleigh bells, and festive decorations, delighting families lining the streets.
