Augusta Symphony Appoints New Development Director

The Augusta Symphony is pleased to announce the appointment of Sean Mooney as its new Developm

Director, effective December 10, 2025. In this role, Sean will guide the Symphony’s fundraising efforts and help expand th

community support that sustain our concert series and education programs. With a strong background in marketing

development, and community engagement, Sean is well positioned to build strong relationships with supporters across the

region.

Sean joins the Symphony at an exciting time in the season as preparations are underway for the 2026 Augusta Symp

featuring the incomparable Audra McDonald in a black -tie evening at the historic Miller Theater on January 24 , 2026 . The Gala

is one of the Symphony’s most important fundraising events, supporting performances, education programs, and ou

throughout the CSRA.

The night begins at 6:30 p.m. with champagne, cocktails, and mingling before guests take their seats for the 7:30 p.m.
