Augusta Tomorrow Unveils 2035 Vision Plan for Downtown Development

Augusta Tomorrow unveiled its 2035 Vision plan Friday, presenting a long-range master plan that leaders say could shape downtown Augusta for the next decade and beyond.
The plan includes four primary areas of focus: a “5-Minute Downtown” concept where daily needs are within walking distance, an expanded riverfront through a project called the “Rippled Edge,” a trail and green space connector between Augusta and North Augusta called the “Green Ribbon,” and a “Canopy Network” aimed at preserving trees that survived recent storms while planting additional ones.
