Pushback Grows After Columbia County Board Approves Two Data Centers

Columbia County leaders are facing growing community pushback after commissioners approved two of three proposed data center developments.
The Columbia County Commission voted to approve the White Oak and Pumpkin Center projects, while rejecting the Byrd Farm proposal. Still, for many neighbors living near the approved sites, concerns remain over environmental impacts, property values, and quality of life.
