Wrightsboro Road Location Transitions to Donation Center as Plans Move Forward for New Neighborhood Store

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Monday, February 2nd, 2026

After years of serving the community as a retail store, Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA’s Wrightsboro Road location is entering a new chapter as a dedicated donation center, open and continuing its role as an easy and convenient place for community members to support Goodwill’s nonprofit mission.

Goodwill is deeply grateful for the many shoppers, donors, and neighbors who have supported the Wrightsboro Road location over the years. That support has helped fund life-changing programs that provide job training, education, and career services to more than 10,000 people each year across Middle Georgia and the CSRA.

“This transition allows us to continue serving the community while we prepare for what’s next,” said Jennifer Tyner, Vice President of Marketing and Development, of Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA. “Donations made at Wrightsboro Road directly support our mission, including education through Helms College, the only college in the world supported by a Goodwill organization. Through an intensive, wrap-around support model and a classroom-to-lab-to-career approach, we help people earn the credentials and hands-on training they need to move into meaningful, in-demand careers right here in our community.”

The Wrightsboro Road site will remain open as a donation center, ensuring donated goods continue to fuel Goodwill’s mission. Community members are encouraged to keep donating at this convenient location and to shop at Goodwill’s nearby retail stores while plans for the next store move forward.

Goodwill is actively planning a new retail store in the Wrightsboro-area neighborhood and looks forward to sharing more as details are finalized, with the goal of welcoming the community into a new space in 2026.

As a locally governed nonprofit, Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA reinvests proceeds from donations and retail sales back into the communities it serves, supporting education, workforce training, and career pathways that strengthen families and the regional economy.

That local impact is part of a broader national story. Goodwill Industries International was recently recognized by Forbes as one of the Top 10 Charities in the United States, reflecting strong public trust and measurable community impact across the country.

“At its heart, Goodwill is about people,” Tyner added. “Every donation represents opportunity, and we’re grateful for this community’s continued support as we look ahead to what’s next.”
