Salvation Army Launches Final Funding Push to Build New Shelter in Augusta

The Salvation Army of Augusta has officially launched the public phase of its “Standing Together – Restoring Hope" capital campaign to build a new Center of Hope.

The a purpose-built emergency overnight shelter will be designed to serve families and individuals experiencing homelessness in the Augusta area.

After several years of planning and community partnership, the campaign has already raised more than 95 percent of its $15.7 million goal.

With less than $1 million remaining, The Salvation Army is inviting the broader community to help bring the project across the finish line.
