Columbia County Chamber to Host Candidate Forum Thursday

The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce will host a Candidate Forum for those seeking office in the upcoming election. The event is open to the public and will be held on Thursday, April 16, from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Hardin Auditorium inside the Evans Library (7022 Evans Town Center Blvd). The event will provide community members with the opportunity to hear directly from candidates vying for votes on May 19.
Candidates from the following races have received invitations to participate:
- Board of Education – District 2
- Board of Education – District 3
- County Commission – Chair
- County Commission – District 1 Seat
- County Commission – District 4 Seat
The forum is designed as an informational session and not a debate. Each candidate will share individual remarks regarding their platform and priorities. While invitations have been extended to candidates in the listed races, participation is subject to change and cannot be announced or confirmed in advance.
Doors to the event will open at 4:30 p.m. The Chamber encourages all community members to attend and engage in this opportunity to hear firsthand from those seeking to serve in these important roles.
