Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia to Host Second Annual Grits and Girl Scouts Breakfast

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Tuesday, April 7th, 2026

Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia is excited to announce its second annual Grits and Girl Scouts event, taking place on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Augusta.

This community-focused breakfast event invites individuals and groups from across the CSRA—including local businesses, families, military personnel, Girl Scout troops, and friend groups—to come together in support of girls and their futures. Attendees can reserve full tables (eight seats), half tables (four seats), or purchase individual seats.

Grits and Girl Scouts offers more than just a delicious start to the day. The event directly supports Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia’s mission to serve girls from Kindergarten through 12th grade by providing access to the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. Through this nationally recognized program, girls build essential life skills such as leadership, confidence, and resilience in a supportive, all-girl environment.

Funds raised from the event will help expand programming and increase access for girls throughout the region, ensuring that more participants can take part in enriching experiences such as hands-on STEM activities, community service projects, entrepreneurship opportunities, and outdoor adventures. These experiences play a vital role in helping girls discover their strengths, develop a sense of purpose, and grow into the next generation of leaders. By investing in Girl Scouts, local businesses are directly contributing to workforce development in the CSRA—supporting programs that equip girls with the skills needed to succeed in today’s evolving economy.
