United Way Celebrations Honor SRNS for Exceptional Community Impact

The United Way of Aiken County and United Way of the CSRA (Central 
Savannah River Area) recently brought the community together with two celebration events in Aiken,  South Carolina, and Augusta, Georgia, honoring the organizations and individuals whose leadership and  generosity continue to advance their missions during their 2025 fundraising campaigns. Savannah River  Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) stood out among this year’s honorees, earning several awards for its strong  and ongoing commitment to the CSRA. 

SRNS employees were honored for their significant contributions to the 2025 United Way Campaign. Through a strong employee-driven effort, the campaign raised $761,811, exceeding its $650,000 goal by 17 percent.  


“Each year, our employees remind us what compassion in action truly looks like. Their dedication to the  United Way campaign reflects a deep commitment to lifting up our neighbors and strengthening our  community,” said Staci Peters, SRNS Senior Vice President of Business Services and Executive  Sponsor of the UW campaign. “I am incredibly proud of the heart they bring to this effort and the lasting  difference their generosity makes. I am honored to say that, through a strong employee-driven effort, the  2025 SRNS United Way campaign raised $761,811, exceeding its $650,000 goal by 17 percent.” 

United Way of Aiken County SRNS received several honors for its contributions to the United Way of Aiken County’s 2025 campaign  during the organization’s annual meeting and award ceremony. The company earned recognition in the 
following categories:  

• Support of the Campaign Professionals Program 
• Highest Employee Achievement Award 
• Second highest Corporate Achievement Award 
• The “Aiken Cup” for highest overall campaign performance

Geneva K. Wright, Aiken County United Way Director of Resource Development, said, “SRNS  exemplifies what true community partnership looks like. Their leadership, generosity, and volunteerism  directly support programs that change lives in Aiken County. We are grateful for their ongoing dedication  and for the powerful impact their employees make every year.” 

In addition, SRNS employees Caleb Jones and James Hensler were recognized, Jones for his role as  the Aiken Campaign Loaned Professional, and Hensler being named the United Way of Aiken Young  Philanthropist of the Year. 

United Way of the CSRA 
In addition to its recognition in Aiken County, SRNS joined local businesses and community partners at  the Augusta Marriott for the United Way of the CSRA’s Annual Campaign Celebration. During the  ceremony, SRNS received one of the Top Fundraiser Awards for contributing more than $230,000. This 
achievement underscores the company’s leadership in regional philanthropy and reinforces its  longstanding commitment to improving education, supporting essential services and enhancing quality of  life for families throughout the CSRA. 

SRNS employees Ethan Guidry, Paige Boeke, and Kristin Creed were recognized for their exceptional leadership, with Guidry and Boeke receiving Employee Campaign Manager of the Year Award and  Creed being honored as the CSRA Loaned Professional.

Through this broad network, the campaign helps build stronger, more resilient communities and ensures that families have access to the resources they need for long term stability and success.
