Dat Hoang Installed as 2026-2027 President of the Rotary Club of Augusta; New Board of Directors Announced

The Rotary Club of Augusta announces the installation of Dat Hoang as its 2026-2027 President. Hoang officially accepted the role during the club's annual Passing of the Gavel ceremony June 29th, where outgoing President Brenda Durant was recognized for her leadership and service throughout the 2025-2026 Rotary year.

The Passing of the Gavel is a longstanding Rotary Club of Augusta tradition that brings together past presidents of the club. During the ceremony, the gavel is passed from one past president to the next, representing the generations of leadership and service that have shaped the club's history, before ultimately being presented to the incoming president.

The Rotary Club also welcomed its 2026-2027 Board of Directors:

  • Mickey Williford – Club Director

As President, Hoang will lead one of Augusta's longstanding civic organizations as it continues its commitment to service, fellowship and community impact.

"I am honored to serve as President of the Rotary Club of Augusta and continue the legacy of leadership and service that has defined our club for more than a century," said Hoang. "I look forward to working alongside our members and Board of Directors as we strengthen our community, expand our impact and continue putting Service Above Self into action."

Hoang is a graduate of Louisiana State University and holds an MBA from the University of Georgia's Terry College of Business. He is an alumnus of both Leadership Augusta and Leadership Columbia County, and is active throughout the Augusta community as a volunteer with First Tee of Augusta and the Georgia Cancer Center at Wellstar-MCG. Hoang also serves as a Georgia Advisory Board Member for Arete Scholars and is a member of the Lipsey Legacy Society at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center.
