Georgia’s Rural Center awarded a grant of a $110,038 grant to assist Emanuel Medical Center to expand cardiac and pulmonary services at Emanuel Medical Center.

Rural hospitals often run into problems when it comes to providing the community with up-to-date medical technology. This grant aims to provide the hospital with new equipment to improve care.

Charlie Fiveash, Executive Director at Georgia’s Rural Center, told Channel 6, “And a lot of our parts of rural Georgia that they suffer from, several health care issues and obesity and diabetes is, one of the very high instances in rural Georgia.
