The Georgia Department of Transportation recently awarded new contracts for projects in the agency’s east-central district.

In Richmond County, Reeves Construction Company has been awarded a $14.08 million project to resurface 5.21 miles of Interstate 520/Bobby Jones Expressway, beginning at the Interstate 20 interchange and extending to Exit 5/Deans Bridge Road. A completion date of May 31, 2027 has been given.

In Bleckley, Dodge, and Laurens counties, Peek Pavement Marking, LLC has been awarded a $336 thousand project to upgrade signage and pavement markings at various railroad crossings. A completion date of May 31, 2027 has been given.
