Augusta Artist Restores Deteriorating Neighborhood Signs to Give Back

A local freelance artist is restoring deteriorating neighborhood signs in the community where he grew up, paying for the work out of his own pocket.
Jullian Redd is currently working on his fourth sign in the Deerwood Forest neighborhood. He said the motivation behind the project was straightforward.
“I’m sick of seeing my immediate community just run down the way it’s been,” Redd said.
Redd said the restorations represent an early step in his career as an artist.
