Augusta to Hold More Public Meetings on Draft Data Center Rules

Augusta’s Planning and Development Department will host three more public meetings next to gather community input on new rules that would govern future data center development.

The draft ordinance is designed to guide where and how data centers are built in Augusta, with a focus on protecting nearby neighborhoods, supporting economic growth and safeguarding public health, safety and welfare, according to city officials.
