The Augusta Market is stepping up to help local businesses impacted by the Broad Street improvement project.

The market’s director said they are now offering vendors in the construction zone, between 5th and 15th streets, Reynolds to Walton Way, 50% off vendor space.

Director Brooke Buxton said it’s one more way to keep those businesses growing.

“During the time we don’t want any of these businesses falling through the cracks, you know, because costs keep [rising],” Buxton said. “Right now, this is what we can do, but I’m still thinking if there’s anything else we could do to highlight our downtown local businesses.”
