Augusta Remembers Nancy Glaser, Longtime Museum Director

Monday, Augusta lost a pillar of the community with the death of Augusta Museum of History executive director, Nancy Glaser. Now the people she worked closely with are remembering her impact on Augusta and her legacy.

For decades, Nancy Glaser poured her heart and soul into the Augusta Museum of History and the entire community. She was passionate about sharing the story of Augusta and is described as a force of nature.

She once said: “We tell the breath of history.”

For 20 years Glaser, a transplant from West Virginia, taught students and museum patrons more about the story of Augusta.
