Georgia REALTORS Recognizes Three Legislators as 2026 REALTOR Champions

Georgia REALTORS® (GAR) is recognizing Sen. Matt Brass of Newnan, Rep. Clint Crowe of Jackson and Rep. Dale Washburn of Macon as its 2026 REALTOR® Champions for their leadership on issues that protect homeowners, strengthen private property rights and expand housing opportunities across Georgia.
“These REALTOR® Champions didn't just talk about the issues affecting Georgia homeowners, they took action,” said 2026 GAR President Brianne Drake.
“Whether reforming homeowners associations, protecting consumers from predatory practices or advocating for private property rights and housing choice, Sen. Brass, Rep. Crowe and Rep. Washburn have delivered meaningful results for Georgians.”
Brass championed an effort to reform regulation of Georgia's homeowners associations (HOAs), culminating in Senate Bill 406. His leadership helped move comprehensive HOA legislation through the General Assembly, creating meaningful protections for current and future homeowners.
For Crowe, protecting Georgia consumers has been a consistent priority. He led efforts to regulate real estate wholesalers and predatory real estate companies, working to protect vulnerable Georgians, including low-income and elderly residents, from unfair business practices targeting homeowners.
Washburn has long advocated for private property rights, housing accessibility and housing choice. He has also championed efforts to create a fairer property tax system that works for Georgia homeowners and property owners.
Together, the three legislators represent the kind of leadership Georgia REALTORS® believes is critical to protecting the American dream of homeownership and ensuring Georgians have access to a fair and healthy housing market.
The REALTOR® Champion recognition highlights elected officials who demonstrate a strong commitment to issues important to Georgia homeowners, property owners and the real estate industry.
