GeorgiaForward is pleased to welcome Christy Hulsey as its new Manager of Strategic Partnerships. In this role, Hulsey will cultivate relationships and develop partnerships that help advance GeorgiaForward’s mission of strengthening communities through childhood literacy, youth civic engagement and leadership development.
Hulsey brings more than 20 years of experience building relationships, developing partnerships, leading organizations and bringing people together around shared goals. Her career spans entrepreneurship, community engagement, leadership development and strategic relationship-building, providing a strong foundation for her work with GeorgiaForward and its partners across the state.
Hulsey built a career in entrepreneurship and the floral industry, helping grow her family’s longtime flower shop into an internationally recognized brand through partnerships with organizations including the White House, Pottery Barn, Southern Living, the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Atlanta Botanical Garden, as well as international partners. Her leadership and entrepreneurial accomplishments have earned recognition including UGA 40 Under 40 and three UGA Bulldog 100 honors.
Beyond her professional career, Hulsey has dedicated significant time to leadership and civic development across Georgia, with experience that includes Leadership North Fulton, Leadership Bulloch and the Women of UGA Leadership Council. Through these experiences, she has focused on developing leaders, strengthening relationships and creating opportunities for meaningful community engagement.
For Hulsey, however, her connection to GeorgiaForward’s work is especially personal. Her commitment to improving literacy in Georgia has been shaped by her own family’s experiences and has become a central part of her personal mission. She believes access to literacy and the opportunities it creates can have a lasting impact on children, families and communities.
“I’m excited to join GeorgiaForward at a time when the need for strong communities and strong leaders is more important than ever,” said Hulsey. “So much of my career has been about bringing people together, building meaningful relationships and creating opportunities for growth. I’m looking forward to bringing those experiences to GeorgiaForward and helping build the partnerships that will move this important work forward.”
“We are thrilled to welcome Christy to our team,” said Sadie Krawczyk, Managing Director of GeorgiaForward. “She has already identified new opportunities and leveraged the strong relationships she’s built across the state to create valuable connections for our organization.”
As Manager of Strategic Partnerships, Hulsey will work to expand GeorgiaForward’s network of supporters and partners, strengthen relationships across the state and help connect businesses, organizations and community leaders with opportunities to invest in Georgia’s communities.
A South Georgia native and University of Georgia graduate, Hulsey has remained actively engaged in leadership and civic initiatives throughout her career. Her professional experience in building partnerships, combined with her personal commitment to literacy and community development, aligns closely with GeorgiaForward’s work to develop the people and communities that will shape Georgia’s future.
“Christy’s passion for people, her ability to build relationships and her commitment to leadership make her a natural fit for GeorgiaForward,” said Sadie Krawczyk, Managing Director of GeorgiaForward. “We are excited to have her join our team and look forward to the partnerships and opportunities she will help create for communities across Georgia.”
“I’m honored to be part of GeorgiaForward’s work and to have the opportunity to help build partnerships that support stronger, more vibrant communities across Georgia,” said Hulsey.
