Folks wearing business casual evoke sweat-stained hats and dirty boots, putting romanticized rural life at the heart of the state and high on its policy priority list. Republican gubernatorial nominee Rick Jackson, an Atlanta native, posted on social media that not only is agriculture the state’s No. 1 industry, it’s “part of who we are.”
