“Life Happens”; Paine College Eliminates Unpaid Debt, Urges Former Students to Earn Degree
Tuesday, August 4th, 2026
Paine College is urging former students who may have had to pause their education to come back and earn a degree.
In a news release the college said, “If financial hardship or unpaid balances directly to the college forced you to pause your education, your slate is cleared. Your unpaid institutional balance is forgiven, and the door is wide open for you to return as early as the Fall 2026 semester.”
The initiative, authorized by Paine College President Dr. Lester A. McCorn, forgives unpaid balances owed directly to the College, allowing eligible former students to re-enroll without the burden of institutional debt.
