Local Artist Gives South Augusta Neighborhood Signs a Colorful New Life

Drivers through parts of South Augusta may have noticed some once-faded neighborhood signs getting a colorful new look.

Local artist Jullian Redd is taking it upon himself to restore signs throughout his community, turning weathered neighborhood markers into his own personal art project.

His latest work is the Barton Village sign.

Redd said the idea started after repeatedly driving through the Meadowbrook area and noticing signs that had become rusted, chipped and worn over time.
