The North Augusta Chamber of Commerce will host State Policy, Business & the Future of District 83 during its Good Morning North Augusta breakfast on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at the North Augusta Community Center.
The program will put the voice of business at the center of the conversation, with leaders representing financial services, manufacturing, healthcare, and small business discussing workforce development, education, housing, infrastructure, economic growth, and South Carolina’s competitiveness.
Featured business leaders are Liz Ponder, SRP Federal Credit Union; Chris Hennessee, Bridgestone Aiken PSR; Victoria Luciano, Aiken Regional Medical Centers; and Tyler Jones, Gutter Specialty Services.
Following each business perspective, candidates for South Carolina House District 83 will have an opportunity to respond from a state policy and legislative perspective. Jason Payne is scheduled to participate in person. Representative Bill Hixon, the incumbent, is unable to attend in person due to a previously scheduled commitment and has been provided alternative options for his responses to be represented.
