Augusta Regional Airport is celebrating another successful year of its 7th annual Meet A Machine event. The event, held on Saturday, September 12, drew a record-breaking 3,536 ticketed attendees. The family-friendly event featured aircraft, heavy equipment, first responder vehicles, military vehicles, a race car and monster truck, among other machines, while while supporting a
great cause.

This year's event raised $11,201 to benefit Wellstar Golisano Children’s Hospital of Georgia, supporting local children and families through the hospital's Children's Miracle Network programs during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

"Each year, Meet A Machine continues to grow, but what makes this event truly special isn't just the attendance, it's the incredible support from our community," said Herbert Judon, Executive Director of Augusta Regional Airport. "Welcoming more than 3,500 guests and raising over $11,000 for Wellstar Golisano Children's Hospital of Georgia demonstrates what can happen when we come together for a great cause."

The event also featured a community blood drive. Shepeard Community Blood Center reported seven blood donations, including five first-time donors, helping provide lifesaving blood products for local patients.
