Augusta Transit Says It’s Strengthening Local, Interstate Travel Connections

The City of Augusta announced its plan to expand travel through a new partnership between Augusta Transit and FLIX, the parent company of Greyhound.

In a press release sent Oct. 5, the city confirmed that the five-year lease agreement approved by the Augusta Commission on Aug, 4, 2026 would allow FLIX/Greyhound to operate from the Transit Transfer Facility at 1546 Broad Street.

FLIX/Greyhound will use space previously occupied by Southeastern Stages, including a customer service and ticketing counter, boarding bay, and baggage storage area.
