Columbia County Chamber Welcomes Dr. Nichole Spencer as New Workforce Development Manager

The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce Dr. Nichole Spencer has joined the organization as its new Workforce Development Manager.
 
In this role, Dr. Spencer will lead the Chamber’s workforce and education initiatives, including programs and events designed to strengthen connections between education, business, and the regional workforce. She will also lead the Chamber’s Workforce and Education Committee, support the Columbia County Chamber Foundation, and oversee grant and funding development.
 
“Nichole brings an exceptional depth of experience in education, workforce development, and leadership to the Chamber,” said Heath Taylor, President and CEO of the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce. “Her experience working with students, educational institutions, and partners across Georgia will be a tremendous asset as we continue strengthening the connections between education and the needs of our business community.”
 
Dr. Spencer joins the Chamber from Augusta Technical College, where she was the Vice President for Student Affairs and oversaw a broad range of student services, including admissions, financial aid, career services, academic advising, military and veteran services, counseling, and student activities.
Prior to that role, she worked as the Executive Director of Student Affairs for the
 
Technical College System of Georgia, collaborating with Student Affairs divisions at 22 technical colleges across the state. Her previous experience also includes directing admissions at Columbus Technical College and Chattahoochee Technical College.
 
Dr. Spencer earned her Doctor of Education in higher education administration from the University of Georgia. She also received a master’s degree in mental health counseling from Auburn University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Virginia Tech.
