Columbia County Stormwater Compliance Hosts the Fourth Annual “Canines For Clean Water Dog Photo Contest” Campaign
Wednesday, October 7th, 2026
Columbia County Stormwater Compliance is thrilled to
announce that the submittal period for the “Canines For Clean Water Dog Photo Contest” is open. From September 25th to November 1st, residents are invited to submit photos of their dog for consideration to become one of the 2027 Clean Water Ambassadors. These ambassadors will be featured on a pet waste station sign in a Columbia County park.
When submitting, participants should choose from one of the three categories:
• Sports Fan: Submittals should reflect a favorite sport or sports team for a chance to be featured on a sign in Patriots Park, Lakeside Park, or Evans Towne Center Park.
• Water Warrior: Submittals should depict a dog interacting with a body of water whether it be a lake, stream, or river for a chance to be featured on a sign in Reed Creek Park, Savannah Rapids Park, Riverside Park, or Memorial Park.
• Outdoor Enthusiast: Submittals should feature your dog in the great outdoors for the chance to be featured on a sign in Blanchard Park, Gateway Park, or Eubank Blanchard Park.
Submittals will be narrowed down by a committee and the top submittals in each category.
Public voting will take place from November 6th-20th and be advertised on County social media, the County website, as well as the Columbia County Green Guide.
