Deck the Halls in Downtown Aiken at the 38th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting
Wednesday, October 7th, 2026
The City of Aiken Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department will host the 38th Annual Downtown Tree Lighting on Thursday, December 3, 2026, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Newberry Street Festival Center. The event is free and open to the public. If it rains, the event will be held on Friday, December 4.
This holiday tradition will feature live performances from local choirs, festive music, refreshments, family activities, and special visits from Mayor Teddy Milner and Santa Claus. Guests can enjoy complimentary hot chocolate and cider; s'mores kits will also be available for purchase to roast over the fire.
The highlight of the evening will be the lighting of Aiken’s new Christmas tree, featuring lush greenery adorned with twinkling lights, red and gold ornaments, and topped with a radiant starburst.
This event would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors Cedar Creek Church (platinum) and Security Federal Bank (gold).
