Ga. Ports Tied to More than 19K Jobs in the CSRA, Study Finds

A new report from the University of Georgia says the state’s ports are powering thousands of jobs in the CSRA.
Researchers at UGA’s Terry College of Business found Georgia’s ports support 19,277 full- and part-time jobs at businesses across the 13-county CSRA region.
Richmond County sees the biggest impact, with 9,168 jobs tied to port activity. Columbia County follows with 3,589 jobs, and Washington County with 3,345.
