The Augusta Symphony will welcome Tony and Grammy Award-nominated actress and singer Megan Hilty as the guest artist for its ninth annual Gala on Saturday, January 30, 2027, at the historic Miller Theater. The Gala is the Symphony’s largest fundraising event of the year, raising essential support for its performances, education, and community programs.
Hilty will perform alongside the musicians of the Augusta Symphony under the direction of Music Director Dirk Meyer. The evening will include hors d’oeuvres and an open bar featuring premium beverages, with VIP and sponsorship packages also available.
“Welcoming Megan Hilty to perform alongside our musicians will make this a very special evening,” said Sean Mooney, Development Director of the Augusta Symphony. “As our largest fundraiser, the Gala also gives our community an opportunity to support the music and programs that continue long after the evening ends.”
Best known to television audiences as Ivy Lynn in NBC’s Smash, Hilty made her Broadway debut as Glinda in Wicked and originated the role of Doralee Rhodes in 9 to 5 The Musical. She received her first Tony Award nomination for her performance as Brooke Ashton in Noises Off. Most recently, she originated the role of Madeline Ashton in Death Becomes Her, earning Tony and Grammy Award nominations.
Hilty’s credits also include portraying Patsy Cline in the television film Patsy & Loretta, which earned her a Critics Choice nomination. An accomplished concert artist, she regularly performs with orchestras including the New York Pops, Boston Pops, and National Symphony Orchestra.
