Twelve local and regional nonprofit organizations will take the spotlight during the North Augusta Chamber of Commerce’s upcoming Good Morning North Augusta: Mission in Minutes – Nonprofit Lightning Talks, scheduled for Thursday, October 8, 2026, at the North Augusta Community Center.
Designed to introduce the business community to the people and organizations addressing needs, enriching lives and strengthening the region, Mission in Minutes replaces the traditional single-speaker breakfast format with a fast-paced series of three-minute presentations.
Each participating organization will have just three minutes to share its mission, the people or communities it serves, and ways businesses and individuals can become more connected to its work.
“North Augusta and the surrounding region are fortunate to have so many organizations doing meaningful work every day, but we don't always know the full scope of what they do or how we can help,” said Terra Carroll, President and CEO of the North Augusta Chamber of Commerce. “Mission in Minutes gives us an opportunity to put those organizations in front of business and community leaders, hear their stories and hopefully create connections that continue well beyond the breakfast.”

The lightning-talk format is intentionally brief. Rather than asking attendees to listen to lengthy presentations, Mission in Minutes provides a snapshot of 12 different organizations in approximately 40 minutes—giving attendees an opportunity to discover organizations they may not know, identify opportunities to volunteer or partner, and better understand the network of nonprofits serving the region.
For the Chamber, the program also reflects the important relationship between a strong business community and a strong nonprofit sector.
“Our businesses are tremendous community partners,” Carroll added. “They provide volunteers, serve on boards, sponsor programs, contribute resources and encourage their employees to get involved. Sometimes the missing piece is simply making the right introduction. We want this breakfast to help make those introductions.”
