The North Augusta Lions Club is pleased to announce that the Lt. Verne Sadler of North Augusta Public Safety has been selected as Grand Marshal of the 2026 North Augusta Lions Christmas Parade, scheduled for Sunday, December 6, at 3:00 p.m. along Georgia Avenue in downtown North Augusta.

With more than 40 years of service to the North Augusta community, Lt. Sadler has dedicated his career to public safety and currently leads the department’s traffic enforcement efforts. For decades, he has also been a trusted partner of the North Augusta Lions Club, playing an instrumental role in coordinating traffic control, parade logistics, and public safety to help ensure a successful Christmas celebration for thousands of residents and visitors.

This year’s parade theme, “A Storybook Christmas – Where Every Float Tells a Holiday Tale,” provides a fitting opportunity to recognize someone who has helped make North Augusta’s Christmas traditions possible for generations.

“Lt. Sadler has been an invaluable part of our Christmas Parade for decades,” said a representative of the North Augusta Lions Club. “While families enjoy the floats, marching bands, and holiday festivities, he has been one of the dedicated individuals working behind the scenes to make it all happen safely. We are excited to bring him to the forefront this year and recognize his extraordinary service to our community.”

As Grand Marshal, Lt. Sadler will lead this year’s parade in a special entry celebrating his commitment to traffic safety, community service, and the generations of families who have enjoyed this annual tradition. He is also expected to be joined by members of his family, making the recognition especially meaningful.

The 2026 North Augusta Lions Christmas Parade will feature festive floats inspired by beloved Christmas stories, marching bands, community organizations, businesses, and families bringing holiday tales to life.
