It’s a growing issue in Augusta: the number of houses being rented out on a short term bases.
“We need to make sure that these houses are not rented out in these neighborhoods, where it affects the neighbors,” said Mayor Pro-Tem Wayne Guilfoyle
Back in June, a teenager was shot and killed at a short term rental.
City leaders, for months, have been discussing the need for new regulations for short-term rentals.
