Monday, October 5th, 2026
Augusta city leaders are clearing up questions surrounding a proposed vape shop near Glenn Hills Elementary School as commissioners consider new restrictions on how close similar businesses can operate to schools.
The issue was discussed during Tuesday’s Augusta-Richmond County Commission meeting, where city leaders addressed concerns surrounding the development of Mr. Smoke Outlet Drive-Thru near Glenn Hills Elementary.

Augusta Planning and Development Director Adleasia Cameron said a stop-work order was issued earlier this year while the business was going through the permitting process.
