Turner Padget Expands Augusta Employment Practice with Dora Hogg

Turner Padget Graham & Laney, P.A. announces that Dorothy “Dora” Hogg has joined the firm as Of Counsel in its Augusta office. A member of the firm’s Workplace Law Group and licensed in Georgia and South Carolina, Dora represents employers in employment litigation and advises businesses on workplace policies, personnel decisions, and compliance with federal and state employment laws.
“Dora brings extensive employment law experience and deep ties to the Augusta community,” said C. Dora counsels employers on employee discipline and terminations, drafts policy manuals, and prepares confidentiality agreements, restrictive covenants, and severance and release agreements. She also responds to charges filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and represents employers in employment litigation. Her compliance work includes advising on Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and the Fair Labor Standards Act.
An Augusta native, Dora spent the past 20 years practicing at a local firm. Earlier in her career, she worked at employment-focused firms in Columbia, South Carolina.
Dora earned her undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Davidson College and her law degree from the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law. Her community involvement includes service on the Board of Trustees of the Clinton Anderson Foundation and past service on the Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of Augusta.
