Trader Joe’s Confirms Plans for Evans Store, Proposed Site Identified in Columbia County

After years of requests from local shoppers, Trader Joe’s is one step closer to bringing a grocery store to Columbia County.
The company has confirmed plans to open a store in Evans, while the Columbia County Development Authority has identified a proposed location at the corner of North Belair Road and Market Street, behind the Columbia County Performing Arts Center.
The property is currently an undeveloped lot, but plans for the store have been submitted and are moving through the county’s permitting process.
