The Aiken County Family YMCA received a $20,000 donation from Kinder Morgan to complete the covering of the branch’s pool today.

 “This is an exciting addition to our Aiken County YMCA,” says Danny McConnell, President/CEO for the Family YMCA of Greater Augusta. “Aquatics are such a huge part of our programming and we are looking forward to the Aiken County members being able to use the pool year-round with this special donation.”

This donation will be used to build an enclosed breezeway connecting the building to the pool to keep members out of the elements during the winter months to access the branch’s heated and covered pool. The Aiken County branch recently installed a bubble to cover their outdoor pool for members to utilize year-round for water aerobics, aqua therapy and lap swimming.
