The CSRA Tennis Association will host a two-day tournament to benefit the Walton Foundation for Independence, Saturday and Sunday, October 17 and 18, at Petersburg Racquet Club, 421 The Pass, Martinez.

Saturday’s event features a Senior Appreciation Day (players 50+) with short, 20-minute matches. A Wheelchair Tennis Exhibition will also be held, featuring Walton Foundation tennis coach Donald Shapiro, who was the U.S. Tennis Association’s 2014 Wheelchair Player of the Year, and others.

Sunday’s event is Pro/Am event where amateur players play against Augusta-area teaching pros and special guests in fast-paced matches. Spectators are invited to donate money to give the amateur advantages (for example, the pro must play with a non-dominant hand).
