Augusta’s Tiny Home Village Gives Foster Youth A Fresh Start

A new kind of neighborhood is coming to Augusta—built for young adults aging out of foster care. It’s called a tiny home village, created by Bridge Builder Communities.
Dr. Jackson Drumgoole, born and raised in Augusta, founded the organization after seeing what his own family went through. “Several of my family members were actually in foster care. And so when I saw some of the suffering that they went through here in the city and beyond it, it led me at a very, very young age to start this organization,” he said.
