Expanding on Bank of America's partnership with the Augusta National Women’s Amateur and as a Champion Partner of the Masters Tournament, Bank of America hosted the fourth annual Golf with Us Clinic on Monday, March 31 at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Augusta.
The Golf with Us Clinic seeks to inspire the next generation of Augusta-area young people through a once-in-a-lifetime engagement with golf legend Annika Sörenstam and a community golf day supported by players in the Augusta National Women’s Amateur field. Golf with Us featured two distinct events: a clinic for Augusta-area High School female golfers and a community golf clinic for kids from Boys & Girls Club of Greater Augusta and First Tee Augusta.
"The Golf with Us Clinic is an introduction to the game of golf for youth in our community," said Marissa Smith, market executive, Bank of America Augusta-Aiken. "At Bank of America, we strive to build stronger, more connected communities by creating opportunities for the next generation of golfers to thrive both on and off the course."
Golf with Us exemplifies Bank of America’s commitment to teaching the next generation to play and learn, not only the game of golf but also important life skills. Members of the Boys & Girls Club and First Tee were instructed by Augusta National Women’s Amateur players (Megha Ganne, Kiara Romero) and other prominent women from the world of golf (Annika Sörenstam, World Golf Hall of Famer and Legendary Professional Golfer and Suzy Whaley, Former President, PGA of America), rotating between stations as the instructors shared insights and life skills from their personal journeys along with world-class golf instruction.
