Goodwill & Dave & Buster’s Launch Earth Week Donation Site in Augusta
Monday, April 21st, 2025
What better way to celebrate Earth Week than by decluttering with purpose, giving back to your community, and enjoying a little fun at Dave & Buster’s? On Monday, April 21, at 11:00 AM, the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce awill host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 807 Cabela Drive to officially celebrate the launch of Goodwill's new attended donation truck, now open daily at the Augusta Dave & Buster’s.
The truck offers a convenient, attended drop-off location—open daily from 11 AM to 6 PM—right in the heart of your weekly routine. Whether you're heading out to shop, dine, or unwind, it’s now easier than ever to donate gently used clothing and household items while you're out and about.
To thank donors and celebrate the power of reuse, anyone who donates on April 21 will receive an exclusive Dave & Buster’s bonus card, which includes:
- 100 FREE game chips when you buy 100
- FREE room rental for your next event
(Full details on the card; available while supplies last)
“This isn’t your typical donation drop-off—this is a chance to make an impact and have a little fun while you’re at it,” said Jennifer Tyner, Vice President of Marketing and Development at Goodwill. “Swing by to donate, then head into Dave & Buster’s to celebrate Earth Week with games, food, and good vibes. It’s a win for you, for our mission, and for the planet.”
Goodwill's partnership with Dave & Buster’s is part of a growing effort to make donating more accessible while reinforcing the power of reuse. Donations help extend the life of items that might otherwise end up in a landfill, while directly funding Goodwill’s mission to build lives, families, and communities—one career at a time.
“At Goodwill, your donations don’t just get resold—they help fund tuition-free career training, education at Helms College, and free job services for people right here in our community,” said Tyner. “When you give to Goodwill, you’re giving someone the tools to succeed—and a path to a better future.”
In 2024 alone, local donations helped Goodwill serve nearly 90,000 people across Middle Georgia and the CSRA.
“We’re proud to partner with an organization that is genuinely making a difference right here in Augusta,” stated George Dey, General Manager of Dave & Buster’s Augusta. “This Earth Week, we’re inviting the community to make a difference—and have a great time doing it.”
