Community Foundation for the CSRA Earns National Standards Accreditation
Wednesday, June 10th, 2026
The Community Foundation for the CSRA has received accreditation through the Community Foundations National Standards® program, a rigorous certification process that recognizes community foundations committed to excellence, accountability, and best practices in philanthropy.
The National Standards accreditation seal demonstrates that the Community Foundation for the CSRA meets and exceeds federal and state law requirements. This accreditation affirms the organization’s commitment to transparency, sound stewardship, and ethical philanthropic practices while reinforcing trust with donors, nonprofits, professional advisors, and the communities it serves.
Of the almost 900 community foundations across the nation, only about half have received this honorable distinction, making National Standards accreditation a meaningful recognition of an organization’s commitment to excellence.
“As we continue celebrating 30 years of serving the CSRA, this recognition reflects the strong foundation our organization has built alongside our donors, nonprofit partners, and community leaders,” said Shell K. Berry, President & CEO of the Community Foundation for the CSRA. “National Standards accreditation reinforces our commitment to operating with integrity and accountability while continuing to help strengthen the communities we call home.”
The Community Foundations National Standards program was established by the Council on Foundations to provide quality assurance to community foundations nationwide. Accreditation is awarded only after a comprehensive review of governance, resource development, stewardship, grantmaking, donor relations, and administrative practices.
