Georgia Chamber Announces 2026 Legislator of the Year Award Recipients

Today, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the following recipients for the 2026 Legislator of the Year awards:

  • Senator Sonya Halpern (D-Atlanta) earned the 2026 Georgia Chamber Senator of the Year award.  
  • Representative Bruce Williamson (R-Monroe) earned the 2026 Georgia Chamber Representative of the Year award.
  • Representative Sandy Donatucci (R-Buford) earned the 2026 Georgia Chamber Freshman Legislator of the Year award.

These individuals serve as trusted resources and partners, going above and beyond to advance the Chamber’s priorities during the legislative session.  

Senator Sonya Halpern (D-Atlanta) and the 2026 Georgia Chamber Senator of the Year said:

“Throughout my time in public service, I’ve come to appreciate that Georgia’s success is built through partnership. Economic growth and quality of life are deeply connected, and the strongest communities are those where businesses can succeed, workers can find meaningful opportunities, and families can thrive. I’m grateful to the Georgia Chamber for this award, and the relationships and collaboration that make that work possible.”

Representative Bruce Williamson (R-Monroe) and the 2026 Georgia Chamber Representative of the Year said:

“The Georgia Chamber has been a trusted partner for me in my time at the Capitol. I’m honored to be named House Legislator of the Year, and look forward to continuing work to promote free enterprise in the state.”

Representative Sandy Donatucci (R-Buford) and the 2026 Georgia Chamber Freshman Legislator of the Year said:

“I am grateful for this recognition from the Georgia Chamber of Commerce. Georgia families, employers, and workers all benefit when we focus on policies that strengthen our economy, support small businesses, and keep Georgia moving forward. I’m proud to stand with Georgia’s business community and to keep fighting for lower costs, stronger schools, safer communities, and a better future for Georgia families.
